Meet Stefano! Originally hailing from Brazil, Stefano attended Thompson Rivers University from 2017 to 2021 where he graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor's of Computing Science. During his undergrad, Stefano worked as a researcher in environmental criminology where he developed a digital tool to detect illegal fishing networks and a digital twin model of the City of Vancouver. His work has been published in international conferences and even won a best paper award in big data and analytics!
Stefano is currently working at Vivacity Technologies as a Technical Product Manager, where he uses his experience to find innovative ways to improve the community. His favourite thing about working at Vivacity is the supportive team environment, where they tackle ill-defined problems and adapt to the ever-changing technology landscape together.
When not at work, Stefano can be found at home reading a good book or learning new tunes on his guitar or jamming out to “soul” classics from the 70's and 80's. He also enjoys playing trivia on Wednesday nights at the local pub, even though he claims that he's not very good at it!
