October 20th, 2021, Kamloops, BC - Vivacity Technologies Ltd., a provider of independent IT consulting, today announced the appointment of Roy Hart to the Board of Advisors, effective immediately. Mr. Hart will support the organization with governance, the go-to-market strategy as well as building closer ties with public and private organizations throughout North America.
“Roy’s experience is vast, spanning over 30 years across multiple sectors, including positions for the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. Additionally, Roy’s background on high profile board’s will provide a guiding light for Vivacity and the team,” said George Emery, Founder and CEO of Vivacity Technologies. “It’s hard to put into words how delighted we are to have Roy on the team. We have a vision for Vivacity Technologies and Roy’s appointment brings us one step closer.”
Mr. Hart is currently the Chief Information Officer of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), a public polytechnic institute located in Burnaby, British Columbia. BCIT currently serves almost 50,000 students each year across six campuses in the Metro Vancouver area. Prior to joining BCIT, Mr. Hart held a number of Chief Information Officer and IT Executive roles in Alberta and Ontario.

Roy is actively engaged with the community through speaking engagements, the CIO Association of Canada, being a mentor, and has chaired various successful charity campaigns. Additionally, Mr. Hart currently serves on the board of BCNET and as an advisor to a number of organizations, including Coding for Veterans.
