Welcome to VivaScoop, your monthly rundown on everything Vivacity Technologies.
Thank you kindly for tuning in and we hope the month of May went well for you and your families. We've had a few turbulent weeks after saying goodbye to one of back-end developers, but the team have been working exceptionally hard to drive projects forward and make progress. To this end, we're now on the hunt for a new Full Stack Software Developer, so if you know of anyone that might fit the mold please send them the link above. Beyond this, we're full steam ahead lining up new VivaCitadel deployments (read below), and preparing for the LGMA conference in early June.
As always, there's lots of exciting news to share, so herewith VivaScoop May.

Launching VivaCitadel PIR in the City of Pitt Meadows
The VivaTeam is proud to partner with the City of Pitt Meadows to help expedite their Property Information Request (PIR) process using VivaCitadel, our data and record management platform for municipalities.
“Cities are expected to do more with less, faster and smarter. VivaCitadel helps us do just that”, said Darrin Fast, Manager of Information Services at Pitt Meadows. With this collaboration, the City of Pitt Meadows is taking a huge step toward digital services. VivaCitadel will help by centralizing property data into one platform, automating the PIR process to ensure faster and more accurate processing, and reduce manual administrative tasks, allowing city staff to focus on higher-impact work.
The phased roll out began this May, with full implementation expected in June 2025!
We are excited to support the City every step of the way with training and long-term collaboration. You can learn more about our newest deployment with the City of Pitt Meadows here!

The City of Prince George partners for VivaCitadel FOI
We are excited to announce Vivacity Technologies’ partnership with the City of Prince George to develop VivaCitadel FOI, our cutting edge platform that makes managing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests simple and fast.
The platform will feature request management and communication, automatic redaction tools, and real-time-tracking, built with the intention to facilitate transparency, efficiency, and accessibility.
The City of Prince George will help shape the design and functionality of the platform, giving us the opportunity to apply the feedback we get in real time to meet the needs of modern municipalities.
This partnership highlights how Vivacity and municipalities are working together to redefine digital services, creating a more transparent, responsive, and more citizen-focused community.

Strengthening Community Connectivity with Simpcw First Nations
Simpcw First Nation (SFN), located near Barriere, BC, is a First Nations community and a member of the Shuswap Nation. They have faced challenges with unreliable internet and limited cell service. These issues have an impact in daily life and restrict the community's ability to grow. That’s why Vivacity stepped in to conduct a thorough Community Connectivity Assessment.
Through interviews, site tours, and a review of the existing network layout, the VivaTeam identified some gaps in the networks ability to scale. With enhancements to existing infrastructure, however, SFN is well on their way to addressing connectivity for the community. We developed a phased roadmap to improve network reliability to help prepare the community for future growth. Each phase is designed to deliver incremental value while being mindful of the costs and timelines.
This assessment goes far beyond connectivity, and we are honored to play a small part in the broader benefits it will deliver to the community. Projects such as these will help bring economic development, better access to health care and education, and enhance the ability to stay connected with loved ones.
With this project, SFN is laying the groundwork for a more connected and resilient future!
