Welcome to VivaScoop, your monthly rundown on everything Vivacity Technologies.

Spring officially arrived and we're now looking forward to the warmer months ahead! With the warmer weather, things have been equally heating up at Vivacity as we continue to develop and deploy our VivaCitadel solution with AI capabilities. In addition we secured NRC IRAP funding to support dual-use technology for the defence sector specifically around our AI capabilities.

There are lots of exciting things on the go, so for an overview of our activities herewith VivaScoop March!

VivaCitadel AI Redaction and Deduplication is Live

The VivaTeam is happy to report that VivaCitadel's AI-powered redaction and deduplication feature is now live! This has been an huge step forward for us, and more importantly, for the legislative teams who are managing increasingly complex and high-volume Freedom of Information requests.

The goal with this feature is straightforward: reduce manual effort and speed up the review process, without compromising on accuracy or defensibility. By automatically identifying sensitive information and removing duplicate content, we’re helping teams prepare responses more efficiently and consistently.

What makes this approach different is how the technology works. Instead of relying on pattern-based detection, the system reads documents more like a human would, understanding relationships and applying the actual legislative test for what should be redacted. What’s also critical is that 'human-in-the-loop' has been maintained for any final decisions.

We’re super pumped about what this means in practice and how it will continue to evolve with feedback from our partners.

VivaCitadel Secures NRC IRAP Funding to Advance Secure AI for Defence

I am proud to share that Vivacity, tied to our work on VivaCitadel, has been selected for support through the NRC IRAP Program’s Defence Industry Assist. Through this program we have secured funding to advance our work in privacy, access to information, and secure AI-powered document processing.

With the launch of our FOI platform and AI Redaction & Deduplication tools, one thing has become clear: organizations need solutions that combine speed, accuracy, and security, all within a Canadian-hosted and sovereign environment.

Through this initiative, we are developing a Secure AI-Powered Document Sharing and Redaction System that will:

Automatically classify and redact sensitive information based on Canadian defence protocols.
Enable secure, auditable sharing of highly sensitive documents.
Reduce analyst processing time by 50% or more.
Operate as a sovereign, scalable platform with Canadian-owned source code.

In short, this is a Canadian defence project with dual-use technology, bridging public sector needs in FOI and privacy with national security requirements.

This is a huge milestone for our team and we’re incredibly excited by what we’ll accomplish in this space.

VivaCitadel Launches FOI Platform with Prince George

Through the launch of VivaCitadel at the City of Prince George, we worked closely with the City to help onboard their legislative staff. We’ve held training sessions, set up access to the City’s VivaCitadel FOI platform, and made sure staff have what they need to get started.

This launch shows what we can achieve by working together. From early feedback and design to implementing the platform. It must also be noted that the City of Prince George has been instrumental in shaping VivaCitadel FOI.

We’re extremely grateful for the City’s openness, leadership, and continued support as we keep making the platform better for legislative teams and the communities they serve.

MISA Prairies 2026 - Looking Forward to Connecting

We are looking forward to attending the MISA Prairies Conference 2026 in the beautiful City of Winnipeg from April 13-16, where Vivacity Technologies will be a Silver Sponsor.
