Vivacity Technologies (www.vvctec.com) is a technology company based out of Kamloops, BC. We wear several hats for our clients so that we can be flexible in meeting their needs. Our main areas of focus are Digital infrastructure, Security infrastructure, and IT consulting. With digital infrastructure, we work a lot with municipalities on projects such as data centre strategy, fibre network expansions and feasibility studies. With security infrastructure, we offer a Public Key Infrastructure platform which helps secure highly sensitive wireless networks against ever evolving cyber threats. Finally, our IT consulting projects have been a key driver in helping fund product development. These projects include IT and Cybersecurity Assessments, as well as Fractional CIO services.
In addition to the projects above, we’re in the midst of building out a solution in the intelligent cities and living labs space. Our goal is to put our technology expertise to work in a way that helps create better and more livable communities for everyone.
What we need
We are seeking to hire an Information Technology Lead to join our team to assist in the delivery of IT related projects and support our goal of being the trusted technology partner. In this role you will help and support the following:
Lead client engagements to deliver digital transformation and IT related projects.
Account management, working alongside our existing clients to develop relationships, scope out new projects, and ensure the successful completion of initiatives.
Project management taking technology related engagements and moving them from inception to completion. These will include IT assessments, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
Ensure services, project work and reports are delivered in a quality manner and in compliance with all client and Vivacity Technologies standards.
Have a deep knowledge of IT shared-services, with an ability to correlate IT with an organization's operational and business teams.
Significant experience with implementing Microsoft 365 services, including on premise and cloud-based environments.
Conducted strong change management practices, with an awareness of ITIL Change Management best practices an asset.
Strong awareness and ability to enact cyber security programs to protect an organization's applications, data and staff. Understanding of cyber security best practices is an asset.
Implemented structures and frameworks around IT Governance, including project management, budgeting, and decision-making processes.
Supported the strategy and implementation of cloud environments, including private and public clouds.
Strong desire and ability to drive forward the digital transformation of an organization, making sizable changes to support and accelerate growth.

Qualifications and Other Assets
The following is a list of qualifications that we hope to find in our newest team member:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar experience.
7+ years of related experience in IT Consulting, or equivalent roles.
Passion for problem solving, leading organizational change, and improving business outcomes through technology enablement.
Team management, or a continual drive to become a team leader who mentors colleagues and creates high-performing cross-functional teams that deliver exceptional results.
Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with team members and clients.
Experience in responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs) is an asset.
Able to define a vision, develop a strategy, and execute against a plan to solve tough IT challenges of all sizes.
Experience with building documentation, and a knowledge base to support current and future projects.

Salary range $100,000 - 120,000
