VivaCitadel Feature Release in Prince George and Kamloops
We have officially rolled out a wave of new features for VivaCitadel FOI specifically designed to streamline Freedom of Information (FOI) workflows for our clients.
Managing FOI daily caseloads just got much more collaborative and easy. Through this rollout you can now internally assign FOI requests to specific team members, and the Activity Log now auto-refreshes instantly so nothing is ever missed. In addition, to keep queues clean, the system will now automatically abandon requests after 30 days of inactivity. We’ve also introduced a quick "Cancel or Withdraw" button and integrated charge codes into all fee summaries for smoother financial tracking.
In addition, we’ve also upgraded the FOI intake form with clearer text and real-time input validation, giving users instant feedback before they hit submit. Plus, helpful quality-of-life fixes, including Outlook email logo scaling, automatic payment confirmation emails, and clear contact info on all external pages.
If you’re ever interested to learn more about some of these changes, or the platform as a whole, please feel free to reach out to us at info@vvctec.com.
City of Trail Fractional CIO Kickoff
We are thrilled to officially announce the kickoff of our new fractional CIO (Chief Information Officer) engagement with the City of Trail!
Over the past few weeks, our team has been fully immersed in building connections on the ground, getting to know Trail's internal IT team and connecting with key stakeholders across various municipal departments to map out their unique operational needs.
To build a reliable roadmap, we are hitting the ground running with an IT Assessment. This deep dive will provide a crystal-clear baseline of the City’s current technology environment, identifying immediate opportunities for optimization.
Once the assessment wraps up, we will transition into a long-term strategy. Working hand-in-hand with Trail’s internal and external teams. Vivacity will provide ongoing strategic direction, hands-on project management, and the technical leadership needed to deliver on the City's highest-priority IT initiatives.
We look forward to keeping you updated as we help streamline and secure Trail's IT environment!
Wrapping up 2026 LGMA Conference
This past month, our team had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Local Government Management Association (LGMA) conference! It was an incredible opportunity to connect with municipalities across British Columbia and learn about the impactful initiatives shaping their communities.
A major highlight of our time there was showcasing VivaCitadel FOI to local leaders. We demonstrated how municipalities can radically modernize their legislative processes through our centralized, secure platform. Attendees were especially excited about our latest features, including AI-powered redaction to protect privacy instantly, and advanced workflow automation built to save administrative teams hours of manual effort.
The energy at the event was great and we’re eager to continue these conversations and partner with more communities across the country to build more efficient and connected local governments.
Welcome to our Newest Team Members!
We are thrilled to announce that the Vivacity Technologies family is growing! This past month, we officially welcomed two new members to the team who are already making an impact on our operations and our flagship product, VivaCitadel.
Firstly, please join us in welcoming Gustavo Kang Shim. A Computing Science graduate from Thompson Rivers University, Gus brings a strong background in software development and technical support. He plays a pivotal role on our support front, managing VivaCitadel accounts and ensuring our clients receive top-tier technical care.
Next, we are excited to introduce Rebecca Yeung, who has joined us as our Marketing and UX/UI Designer. Currently pursuing a degree in Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, Rebecca’s dual expertise is already helping us drive our marketing initiatives and supporting the design of our product VivaCitadel.
Both Gus and Rebecca bring fantastic energy and fresh perspectives to our team. We are lucky to have them on board as we continue to grow!
