Welcome

Thanks for joining us and we're delighted to provide an update on Vivacity Technologies for October. What a busy month it's been! As you might have seen we announced that Roy Hart, CIO of BCIT has joined our team, while we were also busy on existing projects and building the Vivacity brand.

Right now attracting new clients is the name of the game and we have some really exciting projects on the boil. Beyond that we're looking for support, so check out the help section below to see what resources we're hunting for. Perhaps you, or someone you know, could be a great fit.

Without further delay, herewith October's update

Two new clients!!

We're very happy to announce that we have secured two new clients in October. Jointly with New Quest Consulting, we will be helping the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce as a strategic facilitator, while we are engaged with Community Futures Thompson Country undertaking a full IT Assessment. Both the Chamber and Community Futures are great organizations serving local businesses, so we're delighted to be working with them.

City of Kamloops update

Our project with the City of Kamloops has so far been fantastic. We have been visiting and assessing their two main data centres, whilst also analyzing the City's fibre optic infrastructure. The City of Kamloops has already been hugely supportive of Vivacity and we believe there are even more exciting projects around the corner.

Internet Archive

Recently we were invited to attend the Internet Archive's 25th year anniversary. For those of you who are not aware of this organization, it was founded by a gentleman called Brewster Kahle (also the founder of Alexa, purchased by Amazon), who had the vision to start archiving humanities digital footprint. The fact that you can only find many of Donald Trump's questionable tweets on this platform, gives you some idea of how important the archive has become.Feel free to review their website here, and perhaps use the Way Back Machine to see websites of old.

The metaverse - say what?

As you might have seen, Facebook recently announced their name has changed to Meta. This had us asking why and what is the metaverse anyway? Upon scouring the web, we found the following article that provides some great insights on why this is important and what the future potentially holds. If you've seen the movie Ready Player One, then you are already one step closer to understanding the possibilities. Get ready for an immersive world soon.

Help!!

This month we're highlighting two things that we need support with, namely:

  • We're going to be looking for business and technical resources to shortly join our team. If you are aware of anyone who might be interested in getting involved, please undertake an introduction.

  • Spread the word on what we do and who we are. Its simple, but massively beneficial for Vivacity.

Thank you so much for tuning in and don't hesitate to reach out to the Viva team with any questions.
